Maybe it was because you were eating almonds at the time. Try them again, without the almonds. Let us know what you think.

Oh, my brother back in the 70's when the jerky treats came out... I bought a bunch bulk for the collies. I always had jerky because it's my favorite snack. I came home from school and my brother was sitting at the table eating jerky hehehehehhe he said it was dry,,, I said the dogs didn't think so. He didn't know for days it was doggie snacks!!

I have a cat in my lap avidly smelling my breath.

We have an uncle that did the same thing as your brother: Ate a whole bag of dog jerky treats. When we told him he just shrugged, said the dog ate too good, and that he really liked jerky in bite-sized pieces. It's a favorite story of ours! Uncle Dave was always known for eating ANYTHING, but the jerky treats... wow!

hollymh, I let my girls try the cat's dry food when they asked. I figured it couldn't hurt them. After that, they decided they'd rather eat dry cereal, but in a bowl on the floor to pretend it was cat food.

My mom told me a funny story about how when she was 16 or so she and her friends were partying around a campfire and she didn't notice she was eating charcoal pieces instead of potato chips! LOL. My sister once took a swig of bleach that was stupidly in a sprite bottle. Thankfully she spat it out right away, but geeze! Thankfully, I don't recall eating anything I shouldn't have, but once I was halfway through a bowl of fruit loops before I realized the milk was less than fresh.

Have I mentioned I love my son??? He must have told every teacher at the High School what happened, I've gotten a ton of emails!
