Hi,

i was just wondering if any off you have ever sent eggs from the USA or canada to Belgium and now how the hatch rate was.
Deerman, do you perhaps have experience with this, i would like to import them, but they can't go with the cargo and through the scanner, i don't know how to start with the proceedings,

Thanks for any info,

Peacock

Interesting.... He sells a violette as well, and its not supposed to be purple. He has a 4 yr old male available too!

Some of those pictures have a "just not right" feel to them. My guess is photo enhanced, esp. on the violette. I do not believe that this color has been transported to the EU yet, I will check with the color originator and get back, as very few of these birds have been dispersed to the general peafowl breeders yet let alone the EU. Not saying it is impossible but........

I agree with the photo enhancement of the violette. I've sent an email to him to let me know on origin. I'll let you know what I find out.

I have shipped eggs to most Every State, but none outside the USA , shipped eggs lucky to get 50% hatch rate. you may be better to order chicks few months old.

"Violett" is simply "Purple" in German. The "not to be confused with the color 'purple'" part really means "Yes, it's called Purple, but don't expect it to BE purple."

While I lost most of the fluency I had as a child, I do have a weird ability to sometimes read a sentence and know exactly what it means in English, though going from English to German I am usually clueless. It came from spending a lot of time in my great-grandparents' home, where German was the default language.

:)
