Trying to hire somebody to work on our farm as a farm manager or someone decent to help out with chores and am finding it nearly impossible! I was even offering to pay more than minimum wage for the basic "coop cleaning" position. Anyone have any suggestions on what I might be able to do to improve my search?

In our area a farm manager pays between $1,200 to $1,500 a month. A farm hand pays $800 to $900 a month. May be that might help you.

We were offering 1,600 per month to start for the farm manager position. Hoping it would be experience with poultry, but any livestock experience would work for us. Doubt we will find someone in the area who has a background in exhibition poultry…

Ideally our farm manager would only work part of the day and the rest of the labor would be up to the other staff members as well.
