After desiring chickens for many years, I recently moved to 2.5 acres and impulsively bought 10 chicks. They are 5 weeks old and are awesome! I'm currently working on building a coop and learning the best ways to keep my little flock healthy, happy, and entertained.

:frowWelcome to the flock of BYC.
You’ve come to the right place to learn.

Please take a minute to update your profile with your approximate geographic location.

Since there are BYC’ers Here from all over - not just the country but the world-
and weather varies so much, having a location already posted has an impact on suggestions and can really help out in an emergency. It’ll be one less question you’ll have to answer if you are in need of help.

Are you using repurposed materials or going all out with new materials??
