So I currently have a flock of 8 hens 2 years old. Dominique's, Rhode island red, and wyandottes.

Then out of boredom I purchased 6 straight run chicks today with no plan. How do I do this again? Lol. I probably can only keep up to 4 of the 6. I am assuming I will be getting some males and we'll need to fill freezer space. any info on these two random breeds I know nothing about?

The whitish ones are silkies. I am not at all sure what the black ones are, but they are certainly not red broilers. Australorps and Jersey Giant chicks usually have more white on them. Black sex links is a possibility. What colour are the bottom of their feet?

I think I remember hearing that someone picked up a black swedish at TSC, but that's like looking for zebras when you hear hofbeats.

They just straight up have the wrong lables? My first round I ordered from a hatchery.

Yeah. Red broilers would be red (a light brown or orangish color). Broilers are meat birds if you didn't know. But those don't look to be any sort of broilers.

Tractor supply silkies end up looking a bit different than regular silkies. They're bigger than regular silkies but still considered a bantam breed.

It's all good. It didn't matter what they had, I was impulse buying them anyway. I'll let you guys tell me what they are a few months from now ;)

So raise heat plate slowly, chick starter till 12 weeks, grower till 16 or 18 weeks, then later feed? At how many weeks do I slowly integrated them with the current flock?

When they are big enough to fight back. Or if you can keep them in a look but no touch situation, earlier and the transition will go smoother.
