In at night...

Exactly as is the way people manage their Birds ..
I have a Rooster and he never once has conflict with my Yorkie..She is driven in her job to get the Birds back into the Coop.

It’s nice the way you can do that with yours, I want my rooster to be aggressive with other animals (he’s never been aggressive to humans) I think it’s a great survival instinct.
My birds go into the coop every night at 8 o’clock (they’re free range) the only predators in my area are foxes and my dog is great with that as the smell keeps them away. He is also trained to protect the chickens even though the rooster can be quite an “A hole” to him sometimes

Cute.
My family were having a debate on wether we’d get a Yorkie or a cocker to protect the chickens, and as a family pet.
but we chose cocker as it would have to be outside more often. :thumbsup
I have two more working Dogs. A Maremma and A Golden Retriver/Aussie to protect my property and animals from predators..All are well trained.
