and I'm busy with my dual purpose breed project, and already culling an excess male, on average, every week - plus selectively removing year old hens... Just the wife and I, so that's a significant portion of the weekly pounds of flesh.

That’s awesome!! I have some excess males to cull myself and a hen that I’ve never really particularly liked trying to get my numbers down or I’d jump on it too.

Right now I'm at capacity since we're still building the Chicken Palace. But I will have a meatie setup later.

I might try some ___ Ranger types despite the slower growth rate because I have some bad ground -- barren and concrete-hard -- that I want to have worked over and fertilized but not until fall anyway.

That sounds amazing!! I really want meaties eventually too but can’t now either we have plenty of room but we’re moving soon
