ok so i know they are not due to hatch until the 21st day but there is no noise or anything is it normal there silkie and frizzle and sizzle eggs they where all alive and kicking day 18 when i last candled before going into llockdown and the bator has not been opened since tempreture is good and humidity is steady

Have you seen any wobbles?? - Thats what I look for during lockdown. Its so hard not to open the lid..So I just sit there watching for any signs of movement.

i havent seen wobbles either but i admit im not sitting next to it watching i just go and look every now and then

I turn the light off in the room sometimes and sit with a torch on the eggs.. I have a bator with a clear lid- so when they wobble the shadow does too which makes them easier to see. The bigger and more frequent the wobbles- the closer to hatching they are usually.

7am this morning makes start of day 18

last night i kept hearing them move in the turner, so I bumped the humidity, and took em out of the turner!!

I know it is hard, but patience, patience, patience. If your average temperature during incubation is just a small bit low, the hatch can be late. My incubator was set a bit high and mine hatched a day and a half early. That was a surprise. Since they were all developing you are doing OK.

You say you are in day 20. Does this mean they have completed 20 full 24-hour days of incubation or have they completed 19 days of development and have started into day 20? If you set them on a Thursday, the full 24 hour days worth of 21 days of development is up at setting time Thursday. If you put them in the incubator Friday, then the time is up on a Friday. Many people get this confused.

Good luck!

Now that you have posted a pic.... Shining a torch in there wont work...You already have a light on in there. I hadnt realized you have a home made bator. Looks very nice.

ok they where set a 9:28 am on Saturday 10th April (i like to keep records of the time and date) and today for me is Thursday 29th and it 12:30pm so just past high noon, i know i have to have patience im just panicing my first hatch failed so im really feeling the pressure to get it right, even though the first failure wasnt mine or the incubators fault it was simply the mother goose who laid the egg was lacking something important in her diet which caused an overly thick egg shell or so i was told
