In love with my chickens!

I finally completed my coop and got 4 of the hens in it!
They seem to enjoy the run and being outside doing chicken things.
I was worried at first because I had to go put them inside the coop every night for about a week.
They would get all whiny (sp?) wanting to go to bed but seemed confused as to where to go!
It was funny!
Anyway, the other night they FINALLY put themsleves to bed!
Now they all sleep in one side of the nest box!
For now I don't mind if they sleep in it since they are still getting used to the new surroundings.
Anyway just wanted to share the excitement!

Doesn't it make you feel good when they finally figure things out!? Mine had no problem going in at night, but I had to take each one and place it on the roost for about 3 nights before they figured out where their "bed" was! I also covered the nest box with a sheet so they wouldn't jump off the roost and get in there after I left. After a while they forget its there. Well except for my silkie who would somehow wiggle her way in there anyway!
