In need for temporary home for 6 hens in Pikesville, MD

:welcome

How about finding a sitter? What I do for my flock when I go on vacation is find someone who is willing to come to my farm to watch them. It makes it much simpler that way. Also, with a bigger coop, if I can't find someone to come twice everyday, I set them up with multiple feeders and waterers where they can 'take care of themselves' while I'm gone. I still have someone checking on them, but for the most part, the flock is pretty well taken care of on their own. (Less chances of possible fatal mistakes that a sitter could accidentally do too.)

On a side note of all of that, I did have to re-home my flock permanently one year when I was doing a lot of traveling. Chickens do need to get outside, especially during the summer months. This setting them up is more of something I do on the short term. As far as finding someone to temporarily take your birds while you're gone, you could be putting them at risk of diseases and bacteria that they're not accustomed to yet.
