So now that the coop is finished (see Finally done in coop design) I am just wondering about everyday normal life for them over the winter. They have my whole yard to roam around in which is about 1/3 acre. The problem is..... if I let them out in the morning and it starts to rain will they go back inside???? Most of my chickens will let me get them and put them inside, but one, Nona Wyandotte will have nothing to do with it. We would have won the grand prize on "Americas Funniest Home Videos" the other day trying to catch her to put her away. Do I just leave the door open and they will come and go regardless of the weather??? What if they get wet and cold and then they will get sick? How does everyone deal with winter rainy weather? I hate to leave them inside at every little chance of rain. HMMMM???? Thanks in advance, Suz.
