In OVO vaccination

I just found this thread and am wondering how in ovo vaccination turned out for you two? I am about to vaccinate my second set of hatched under a broody eggs but I don’t know yet if the first set was effective as chicks are only five weeks old. Here’s a pic of the first set - all 12 hatched with no obvious problems from vaccination. Vaccinated on day 18.5 of hen incubation.

Hi! I'm so interested in your equipment and methods for your in-ovo vaccination! What did you use? Where did you puncture the egg?

I gathered the supplies but ended up vaccinating as day-olds because the shell was too thick & dark to get a reliable visual on the embryo (I tried SIX different candlers, including Brinsea's super-duper high powered one). I wouldn't have been able to verify where the needle landed and was too likely to injure the chick. It ended up working out well and all the chicks are now adults over a year old. :)
