Do you need food and water? or just water? If they are let out in the day, do you need to provide food inside for them?

Always keep feed and water in the coop, I'm not feeding wild birds the very expensive feed I have to mail order in, only my chickens, ducks and geese. I'm not tempting the wild birds, either, especially the humongous ravens we have here and seagulls in summer. I might throw some scratch on the ground in the pens during summer and veggie/fruit treats but all feed and water is inside unless its warm/hot outside, then a water container is also outside but you have to be aware of algae growing in the outside water containers and scrub those down often.
