In the meantime I will be doing lots of research! My dad said that he wouldn't mind a couple dwarfs around. They'd also like the grass next to our palm trees as a snack. My chickens and ducks sure do. There's plenty of it too.
I'm excited and I can't wait until next year. I just might persuade my parents into getting a couple before I start my senior year! Luckily there's a goat vet not too far away aswell. I could get some info on raising goats from her too.
I feel like the folks on cpp don't want me having goats though.. I don't want goats for fiber, milk, or meat. Pets, friends, family, that's what I aim for! No breeding please. So a wether and a doeling to start out with perhaps! And yes I consider my animals friends and family. Most of them are children to me. A couple grandchildren here and there too. Hmm, I know about the collar/harness training, deworming, shots, leash training, and I believe goats need hoove trimming too?
