This is one of my white call duck eggs - day 22 - goes into the hatcher tomorrow night. This air cell to me looks HUGE compared to the rest of them. What do you make of it? Is it way too big or does this happen to some of them?

Is there something I should be doing? Will it be OK? How do I know when it pips into the air cell?

Can you tell I am nervous????

I had a welsummer egg that looked like that tuesday. I thought for sure it wouldn't hatch and I almost tossed it. But I thought I would leave it and laid it in the back of the hatching tray just incase. I put the other eggs in the front well I checked on them yesterday and it was the first one to pip! It took a full day & a half to hatch but it's running around in the bator now. Good Luck

That little bugger moves around like crazy in the shell- but it must be so small? Or squished because that air cell takes up half the egg! At least it will have plenty of air to breath if it does hatch.

Thanks for the reply - I feel a little better!
