Well, just living is life threatening.. I've seen hens live for years and even lay regular eggs during the same period.

What the age of the bird and how far the condition has progressed as well as possible casue may have a lot to do with prognosis..

Have you identified which hen it was from?

I just saw this reply from Tuesday. I agree just living is life threatening I have been unable to detect which hen it could be. I have 5 that are 2 yrs old now and 6 that are a year. I was looking at the 5 older ones and they all look to be acting normally. I’m wondering if I should take a wait and see approach but will read the link you gave me now. Thanks!
