Molly quickly ran at the coyotes, barking and snapping her teeth at the coyotes. They only tried to attack her once before they took a step back, a look of uncertainty in their eyes

Magpie then bites and slams a coyote with her horn

Molly barked at the sheep and goats, pushing them back away from the danger. While some of them were infuriated and were trying to kill the coyotes, Molly knew that the chances of a coyote killing one of them, even the rams, was high.

(Just going to say...I don't know what coyotes are like in your area, but for me, they stalk and even can kill humans...mine are absolutely enormous, but I know that coyotes can differ in their personality depending on where they are. )
