this just struck me so funny!

gosh that half eaten hot dog and bun are tantalizing. Takes me back in time to when I used to clean up after my son. I always thought I was so good to finish the stuff instead of wasting by throwing it out. My waistline didn't agree. Oh so you use ketsup with hot dogs too. It's kinda forbidden in the Chicago area. I was eating one at Sam's club and a guy poked his wife and said "See she uses ketsup on her hot dog."

Not "kinda forbidden". It's sacrilege, Chicago hot dog places do have it available, because we respect diversity, but the contrast of the sweet taste of ketchup with the taste of hot dogs is just wrong.

Gargoyle, when we lived in Chicago many , many moons ago, I used ketsup on the hot dogs in the sanctuary of our home - and since I had agoraphobia my secret was safe.
