Aww. Come on Rebel. We all must hold on to some sort of optimism...or delusion.
It has to get better. My kid wants to go to MIT.-and he is smart enough to get accepted-We can't even afford the SAT tests..(There is not enough chocolate in the world to cover that kind of depression.)
Leave me with my delusions so I can sleep at night.

My nephew wanted to go to MIT too. He had a perfect score on his SATs and still didn't get in. He instead choose to go to Carnegie Mellon in Pittsburgh where he is majoring in Robotics. He is 25 years old and should complete his PHD next year.
