My brain thinks in pencil. I do not do the facebook twitter stuff. But I think I have figured this out.
Let's say, someone starts a weird hobby thread and I post my soap carvings (It ran it's course ) and I wanted Gargoyle to see it. So I do the @ and then remember how to spell gargoye and he will get tapped on the shoulder so he can go look at my really awesome soap carvings? That way I do not need to run down one of his posts and do a PM?

Would that require that I have a twitter or facebook account linked here, or would I get the notification on BYC?
