in this random rambling thread we post random pictures

Keyboard commandos seems to be a common used term now for people that are big an bad hidden behind their computer. The same thing was common before the internet on CB radios. We called them microphone heroes back then.

Back around 1994 our local CB radio group became the target of one of those punks. He would get on the radio every night an say some really bad stuff the the women in the group. What he didnt know was that a lot of us spent a good bit of time playing a game called CB tag. Its a game where one person goes an hides an the rest use their radio signal as they talk to hunt them down. We had gotten pretty good at it. One night a bunch of us guys went looking for him. We did not say anything on the radio the whole time while all the women stayed home talking on the radio like it was a normal night. After about an hour of driving we found ourselves on back roads in Bridgeport Alabama when I spotted an antenna on a house that had the lights on so I whipped in the driveway with my high beams shining in the window. I could see a radio an someone jumping up from it to look out the window. I keyed the radio up an said ""boys we got him" an then I gave the address. Seconds later all the lights in the house went out an the radio went dark. The rest of the group came to the house an drove in parade around the house a few time before I backed out an we went home. We never did hear that voice on the radio again.
Wow, that`s very interesting.
Our goverment (here, in Moscow) speak about the Internet, they would like to enter to the Internet width the personal dates. In various sites the people tell that`s bad, because we will not have a freedom. But what freedom? They use anonymous accounts only for insults, rudeness, and trolling and for ekstremiskih statements. I admit, but they told that some maniac will then know where I live. So what? Maniac can be found on the street, you can get under the train, fall into the river, poisoned stale fish, why in reality people are not afraid of people, and the Internet, they suddenly become worse? I can`t understand that.
Here in Russia is a serious problem, there are plenty of people who do not work anywhere, and aims of his life anonymous insults in the Internet.

Quote: The American Paint Horse is a stock horse breed (Quarter Horse type). In fact, a lot of the first horses in the Paint registry had two registered Quarter Horse parents, they just had too much white on them to be eligible for Quarter Horse registration. Things have come full circle now; there are animals known as "breeding stock" Paints, that have two registered Paint parents but very little white on them.

The combination of white and another color like this horse has is usually called "pinto," and there are several pinto patterns. This animal shows markings of what appears to be two classic pinto patterns, Tobiano and Sabino. Most Gypsy Vanners are Tobiano pintos, but they can be solid colors, too. They are smaller than you might think from the pictures, typically 14-16 hands, and obviously a draft breed, with broad chests, powerful hindquarters, and lots of 'bone.' The abundant feathering on the legs and long, thick manes and tails of the breed make them popular subjects for photographers, but man, all that white hair makes for a lot of upkeep!

Bunnylady, In the horse world, how does one keep the whites so white? Bluing?
They never get to go out unattended?

My dogs get dirty and clean is just a temporary inconvenience to them. Wet is good, dirt is good. MUD is better.

Horses love being dirty too. When you turn them out, often the first thing they do is get down and roll.

There are shampoos that are really good at cleaning up light-colored horses. "The purple stuff" costs a bit more than some of the others, but it works! Mostly, it's a case of clean 'em up, and quick, grab the camera before they get dirty again.

Of course, if you are headed for a show, you can wrap the legs and bag the tail and put on a blanket to try to cover up the white parts . . . .
