in this random rambling thread we post random pictures

I have these 2 pictures DD:

That last one was taken this morning and has dew all over it.

@Bunnylady according to the tag that came with it, we can leave ours in the ground all year round. It can get die back with temps below freezing but will come back in the spring. At least, that's what "they" say...this is our first one.

I know one thing about it, the hummingbirds sure like it!

I would toss some leaves over it, mound it up before a freeze or throw some fairy lights on it and go Christmas all winter- oh, you know the wheel would look cute with the spokes in white lights.

We can work for can't we?

You know it is odd, one block up on the west side of the street, there is a house with an ixora hedge, it always looks great, blooms all the time, -we can't get one to survive the first frost.

Hmm, fairy lights...interesting idea! I'll have to see what we can rig up this winter. Thanks!

Thank you NorthFLChick - the color is so vibrant.

Ah, every year I lose plants that "they" claim on the label are hardy to -20 or -30 below. We don't usually get that cold but, I even lose established plants that were thriving. This year it was yet another "hardy "mum. Now a second mum (of 3) isn't up to par. A gorgeous lily has been doing badly since the neighbors dog broke it at the base 2 yrs.ago(using area for toilet),. This year just one tiny section came up. Next year it won't surface at all.

Sorry about your lily DD. I hate it when people don't take care of their pets (and that includes keeping them on their own property).

Oh man, you all are making me homesick for FL. Been a long time since that happened. I love how the flowers grow out there. And everywhere! Beautiful!
