The problem with that is...'these people are running away from a failed culture...they move to places like France and other western countries with no intention to assimilate. So they are just moving the middle east with them with all its problems.

They are thugs who need and excuse to be thugs.
Thugs will always be with us. They just moved from sticks and rocks to rockets and explosives.
There are people born angry and they gravitate to angry people.
We must be very careful not to use a broad brush and paint entire cultures with it.

When I referred to random violence, I was including any sort by anyone...whether that be throwing rocks at windows or blowing up planes full of people going about their daily lives that weren't hurting anyone.

Reading history, we find the same things said about so many groups of immigrants in the past. The attacks on German, Irish and Chinese immigrants in the 1800's, Eastern Europeans in the early 1900's, the way we turned away Jewish refugees in 1939 (look up the case of the SS St. Lewis)... I hope we don't keep repeating the same fears.

I should have worded my post better rather than saying "These people" I was meaning the minority that are bringing terror to the world. I was by no means painting entire cultures with a broad brush.

I look at the border the same way I look at my house. Locking the door has nothing to do with hate for the people outside an everything to do with love for the ones inside.

Oh no. I did not mean that anyone here was being 'broad brushie', but when people are shocked and angry a mind set seeps in and we need to remember the world has more decent people in it than not.

The actions were unforgivable but we need to try even harder to build bridges between cultures so that it is not an 'us' against 'them' mind set.
Hopefully eventually maybe...things will improve.

There are still decent people everywhere.
What someone looks like does not show the state of the heart.
