@N F C ,before you leave Florida, you need to run over to Homosassa. If you do it now, the manatees should still be there.
They have some in a permanent observation area. They are in rehab for propeller wounds and things.
There used to be a manatee cam, but I do not know if it survived the recession. Florida gutted a lot of Park budgets the last 25 years or so.

You need to check it around feeding time, I think.
It is awfully green, so maybe they need to go squeggie the lens.

Several years ago when I spent 3 months with my brother & SIL on their sailboat, we docked down around Marathon. There were several manatees hanging out there, including a couple of young ones. That was the 1st time I'd ever seen a real one in person. Such fun, gentle animals.

If we can, we'll have to check out Homosassa. Good tip!
