No, I'm not looking forward to the really really cold months, but getting ready for it. It really is beautiful after a fresh snow fall..or if there has been fog.

LOL......not funny but I do so like hearing stories like that Pasha , I think that still happens more then we care to admit to , but it makes us stronger and more appreciative of what we have now ........I'd love to see your country some day , so much history and the stories .........
Here is not anything very interesting for travel, our village have only forest here, some houses, one simple food-shop, and 20-30 km from here are one Macdonald`s (i worked there some time in the past), one market where i can buy cement, metal, brics or wooden beams. Near of there are a police office, one little shool and one kindergarten. Here are two little factories - one dog-food factory, and one factory where produce a polycarbonate, and in another village are one little church. That`s all what are here ))) Nothing interesting for a turists ))

But i like my place because i have here a little plot of land and can do here all what i want - have a geese, ducks, dogs, and have a house (in the past i lived in the apartment in the city).
I want to buy one piglet and 2-3 goats, but i go to this very slowly - i must to build much barns here before.

Now i work width a barn for my geese, near of the new greenhouse. I build it not ideal, but i hope to correct irregularities due to the plaster )) Today i weld the threaded pins:

After pouring a concrete into the formwork i can put on top a wooden timbers and begin to build the beam ceiling and roof.

If to speak about the pigs i want the "white russian" - this is a popular breed of the pigs here. In the past this breed was get from the England ("big white" or something like that), but after this pigs lived in Russia more as 100 years and they have changed here, become more suitable for the local climate and forages, and begin to be different from their english ancestors due to interbreeding with the local pigs.
But i need to build there one stove before - i have read that the piglets need a heating. I get the brics for the new stove yet, but i am too busy and can`t begin this work now )) I will can buy one piglet only when i finish the work. This will be my first piglet, i will play width this, if i like the result - i will have more pigs. To be honest, at first I only had 3 chickens - I just wanted to understand what it is all about )) Now i have a geese, chiken, turkey and ducks, and prepare the barns for a new fowl ))
And my first tomatoes I have grown, constructed a greenhouse of some sticks and covering it with a cellophane from the packaging of the mattress ))

Wow Pasha, you are what we call in America...a handy man! You are doing a lot of different type of building. It's nice to have animals, not alone, but you have little friends. :)
A pig! Can't wait until you get your pig so we can see. :)

Pasha...I love love hearing about your life history, and your life as of today!
Thanks ) We just moved here from 20 years ago, built a very small house near the forest. And then already built another house. Now i can build the barns for the fowl and another animals. I work slowly, can`t build all very fast ))

Before of this we lived in the town, 40 or 50 km from here (we are - i and my parents). In the past we did not have electric power here, had only one very-very old, a decommissioned military generator (it eated very much gasoline and oil, but gave a low power - we used it only one day in the week). Now i have 3 new generators - 2, 4 and 8 kVatt, but i use it only when we have any problems - any tree fall on a electric line or any lightning strike during a thunderstorm into any power station anywhere. That`s very rarely. I need the generators for any problem`s time because i have some fridges and incubators.

Pasha , I am 100%sure that your end of the world would be wonderful , as I would say the same thing of where I live , but through the eyes of someone else it looks different .....thus we have tourist industry ....lol... but you do keep at it and I admire that . The Pig is huge , do the sows grow as big as the males ? I raise a few , just the heritage ones , so far loving it ....was going to breed two , but the cost of feeding and holding a boar has kept me from doing this . Have two that will be getting butchered soon .....around 500+ lbs each so ?
