Wow you could have been a model. I used to have dark brown hair with red highlights. In high school started getting gray. I pulled them out as I saw them. Then noticed I was getting bald spots from over zealous pulling.

Left the rest of the hair in and it kept getting whiter and whiter. In my 30's some smart
asps were calling me Grandma. I wouldn't have minded if I really had grandkids but....
Now my hair is totally silver/ white. Thank goodness no icky yellowing. I love it.. I'm 71 and don't feel any different than when I was 40,50,60.Must have felt pretty awful back then.

Kidding, I am perfectly comfortable with the hair and my age. And if someone doesn't like my looks I tell them "If thy eye offends thee - pluck it out*." And add a

By the way got that quote from a movie with Ray Milan-" The Man with Xray Vision." He must have needed the $$$ to be talked into doing that one.

Way to go with the confidence. When I was young...didn't have that. Now, I'm like you, it really doesn't matter what other folks think of me. What matters most is what I think of me. Now? I'm ok with me.

Incidentally my temporary new avatar is me(the little one) at 4 years of age. Tall one is my sister - 4.5 years older than me. We had matching purses, though I can't imagine having anything to put in one.
