Yes I am russian. I came to this forum, interested in photographs of chickens, ducks and geese, and since then I have been coming here periodically. I understand English quite well, but I speak with errors, because I studied it only from computer games and cartoons. Officially, I studied only German (at school, university, graduate school), but I can still speak Spanish, Portuguese and Japanese. During the collapse of the USSR, I wanted to emigrate to Latin America to graze pigs, cows or grow bananas there)) However, later on it turned out that there was no need to emigrate anywhere - I can grow potatoes and graze geese without leaving.
I was born in 1980 in Moscow, but spent my childhood in the Ukrainian city of Kharkov, where my parents moved (this was a long time ago, during the Soviet Union, when people were often sent to serve and work in other regions), later we returned to the Moscow region, and years later built a house here, and began to live with something like a small farm. But I'm not a farmer, I just live in the country, although I have geese, ducks, chickens, turkeys, guinea fowls, goats and a vegetable garden. Then I inherited an apartment, began to rent it out, and stopped working, I just live in the village, plant potatoes, graze goats, read books and do nothing.

Yes, but I'm a little tired, because today I crawled a lot, planting potatoes Here it's something like a tradition, everyone plant potatoes - professors of medicine, police officers, school teachers, officials, artists, bankers... Every spring everyone crawls to the point of stupefaction and plant potatoes And in most cases, this is all done manually - with the help of pitchforks and shovels. It seems that the habit of planting potatoes was instilled in us by Peter I in the 17th century.
More than us, potatoes are planted only in Belarus, but there they grow them professionally as farmers, while in our country it is something else, something like a ritual. Here are large fields with potatoes, but everyone who has at least a small piece of land will definitely plant potatoes too, regardless of who he works for and how close he is to a store where he can buy these potatoes
Tomorrow I'll probably take a picture of what I planted. There are long beds filled with goat old dung and sand. When the potatoes grow, I will take them for my lunch, and also boil them for the ducks. My ducks love boiled potatoes.
