Look at that shiny black coat. Love me a Dobi. If only I were younger.

No, I haven't heard of her. DCM, yeah bad stuff. Poor Ruby. Supposedly, grain free diets are a contributing factor to DCM. Oddly, food with grain seems limited.I love big dogs. I used to have Golden's like sour. Didn't know the Dobie breed that well until I watched Ruby for a while on the net. Hear of ger? She passed away with that heart problem Dobies can get.
There isn't enough data to conclude that grain free diets contribute to DCM. Dobermans will get DCM more than all other breeds COMBINED. 40% of Dobies will get DCM. 50% of them will have sudden death. No, I haven't heard of her. DCM, yeah bad stuff. Poor Ruby. Beautiful girl! I've always loved dobies but I've never owned one.I mostly have videos of her and haven't been good about getting pictures lately. I'll try to get a good one for you @Cynthia12 . This is one of my faves of her.

Agree. That's why I said supposedly. Georgia eats meat primarily. We feed Merreck with grain kibble, but she also is fed steak a lot. Sometimes raw, sometimes gently cooked as we like rare steaks. She gets other meat, too, but mostly beef. There isn't enough data to conclude that grain free diets contribute to DCM. Out of the 5 I've lost, 3 had DCM, 2 had sudden death.
Bella is on a grain free diet. It is called "meat". So is the min pin puppy.
Thank you! If you ever add one to your family, you'll likely never want another breed.Beautiful girl! I've always loved dobies but I've never owned one.
Our Dobe, Raven, used to sit with her paws crossed like that. We called it "sphinx position."
