We had lots of bees in TN but few honey bees here in the wild. Lots of bee keepers in the area but none close enough to me to pollinate my garden last year. Lots of bumble bees here. Bees are dying from the heat. Wax is melting in the hives is my guess.I have not seen many bees here has me a bit worried.
I did but don't need them yet. I have made arrangement to give the honey away if the keeper with just take care of the hives. Maybe we take one quart a year.May have to see about getting a hive then.
Oh yeah.I miss Kodachrome 25.
We decided to get bees this year. It's our first year, our first hive, and thing seem to be going well. The goldenrod is about to bloom. I used to think of that stuff as an annoying weed. Not anymore! Honeybees love it. And now I love it too.May have to see about getting a hive then.
I love this!
Is it a junco maybe?I don't remember the name of this bird. They were rarely seen at our TN place.
