The owner of this field of milkweed planted 3 acres if I remember that right. It could have been 5 possibly. I never saw a butterfly of any species out of all the trips I made to it. Bees were plentiful. Either this fall or next spring I want to plant a 1/4 acre here for the bees. When photographing the bees in this field I was always about 12' away and that made it easy to get their photos without disturbing them.

If copper heads don't bother you this mountain trail is an interesting hike in TN at Cumberland Mountain State Park.

That's bad if they are cockle burrs like we had in MO. Those are so hard to control in bean fields. Or are you describing Nut Grass?

it's a self-winding mechanism. The movement of your hand and wrist provide the motion to keep the spring wound (vs a mainspring in a manual watch, or a battery)
