Spotted this old fellow slowly crossing our driveway yesterday evening, just a few feet from the heavily trafficked state road. I carried him down to the creek, and as soon as he got oriented he slipped away.

Hhe didn't like being carried- note how he is trying to pee on me! He was also clawing at my hands with all four feet trying to get away, but fortunately the gloves were extra heavy and he didn't scratch me.

This was one serious turtle.
