I've always wondered what the point of keeping peafowl is.... Don't think I'll be getting any! haha But if you want some, they are beautiful. :)

But I really love my guineas. They are so much more entertaining than the chickens, and they aren't really that loud (at least to me). Their volume only bothers me when I'm in the coop with them and they start their "KAKAKAKAKAKAKAKAKAK" thing. THEN it's loud. But the "kasWONK" noises are pretty much the same volume as the chickens' egg songs. But yeah. I love my guineas. 3 of my friends got guineas the same time I did and they're always losing them, and theirs are very unfriendly. I only lost 1 after the first week following shipment and that was due to some kind of sickness or something when he was little. And mine are actually a lot friendlier than I was expecting. They come running when I call "Here guinea guinea" (or chickie chickie) and look at me expectantly for millet. They would eat it out of my hand but I don't let them do that... They're so excited for it that they are quite rough. (I'd prefer to keep my hand! lol) My Buff Dundotte will let me pick her up and hold her too. The others not so much. But Helen does, and she's a real sweetheart. :)


Meanwhile... Here's a couple little milkmaids to wake you up...
