I was raised with horses, and draft horses. I love this horse pulls!! I've never had a good enough team to win, but I've dreamed about it many times. I wanted to be the girl out there with my big blond belgians (or shires, clydesdales, or percherons, but belgians are really the best) beating all the old guys!

I know it! If we had the time to invest in the training of a team my sister and I would be totally out there. The ones in the pics and videos are actually ponies, but it's pretty much the same, except the ponies are a bit hotter and high strung.

OMG, your right! LOL When I went and looked again, they were little guys. I only saw horse, and thought no further. The only pony we had about drove us nuts. He was a pretty white shetland stud. Geeze Lousie but he was a problem child.

My own riding horse was a shetland/arabian. 13 hands.

I'd think your Percheron crosses may be ok, but then, I've always been around young per. teams, and like all young equiines, they are a bit flighty. I hear its a horse thing.

Yep! Ponies are like the young ones. But they never grow out of it.

Oh bother! I don't thinkn I'd be amused for long. In the end, I love the solidness of an old work team. It may not be as much fun to drive an old sedate team, but its sure a lot less hassle.
