Copper & brass weather vane my Husband bought me for our pole barn.


I was just looking at that and other rooster weathervanes tonight. There is a video of that one turning, looks good from the side but I wasn't sure about the end views. Does it look good all the way around or is the tail too thin looking? I want to find one with good proportions that looks solid, not flimsy or awkward, and its hard to tell from the online photos.

I think it looks pretty good. The rooster tail is 2 sheets of copper that are dimensional and seems sturdy. The "feathers" of the arrow is only 1 ply and is easily bent. The rooster and balls are made of copper, while the N, S, E, W letters & their supports are a heavier brass. I'm not sure where he bought it (he will look it up later if you want) It appears that it was handcrafted in India.
