Not really, actually. For about 15 minutes or so in the beginning it stung, but then the endorphins kicked in and it went to a fuzzy, tingly, numb kind of prick. Down by my wrist it hurt more though. It's thinner skin and pretty close to the tendons.

I will never forget my sisters first tattoo....

She had just moved out of dads house an in with me. I was kicked back in the living room watching TV. My sister was in her room hanging out most of the night. She kept going to the kitchen, opening the fridge then back to her room empty handed. Every few minutes for something like an hour.. I could take no more. I yelled "what the crap are you doing" an she responded with "nothing." I went back to see what was going on. She had a sowing needle rapped in thread an dipped in ink putting a tattoo on her own ankle. She had a bock of ice she was using to numb her ankle with. That was what she was getting out of the fridge. Anyway her tattoo was a cross with light rays coming off of it...


Around the same time two of my cousins both got matching scorpion tattoos on their chests. They carved the shape of a scorpion using only horizontal strait lines. They did it with a razor blade an then rubbed the ink in to it.

That was all around the mid 90s... 20 years later all 3 tattoos still look good...
