in this random rambling thread we post random pictures

How nice, they even had an adult to chaperone them! Maybe they were upset about their golf scores. I thought that was an awful lot of chickens for one person to deal with. Imagine what they will do when they are 'grown up.'
Well, the "adult" is 18. the others are 17 and 15. I kinda figured there had to be more than one person involved. It takes a lot of time to kill that many birds; young males displaying macho pack behavior could keep each other going long after the initial "thrill" wore off.

me, with a silkie first..and then, one of my most favorite chickens in the world..the leghorn, the one that gets a bad rap, but has always been one of the sweetest, if not the sweetest, bird in my flock.

And last .. but not least... :D me, with a silkie first..and then, one of my most favorite chickens in the world..the leghorn, the one that gets a bad rap, but has always been one of the sweetest, if not the sweetest, bird in my flock.
My two leghorns like to be held more than my other breeds too. One closes her eyes and makes noises when you hold her. Now, if you are a chicken though....she growls and pecks! Fierce little thing! She's half the size of my golden comets and chases them away from anything that resembles food! Nice "chicken love" pictures too!

Thanks Diva, not my family, but I do have some of those too..only a couple with grand children holding the babies, carefully.
Kentucky, my leghorns haven't been onery with the other chickens either..maybe it's because I only have one at a time out there?

Here's a couple of photos of grandkids..a ways back. Wow, this first photo is a long time ago.

A chicken on the head? :D He turned around after the chicken flew up onto the roost,
and was showing us with his arms and hands what the chicken did to get up there.

This is our daughter, the mother to those two above.
