Further images. Romani are one of the world's most persecuted people, frequently denied education, jobs, housing, and basic human rights, then further punished for their very lack of these things under oppressive laws drafted in many first world countries specifically targeting these people.

Krsty, I went through those photos! Found a good article on them. It's unreal to think that we are still so numb to the feelings..and rights to other humans. It seems there is just no where for these people to go! So sad.

I agree. It is shocking that so called enlightened places like Spain, France, and indeed most of Europe and throughout the Americas are so openly hostile to an entire race of people. I mean these human beings are openly murdered in public in 1st world countries, and people turn the other way. Children are denied basic nutrition and education simply because of the race they were born, and then criminalized as adults for being uneducated and malnutritioned.

This photo ticked me off. Look at how that woman in the background and the police are just smirking at them for not wanting their photos taken. I am thinking that it's gotten to the point where the countries just don't know what to do about them. They can't make people give them jobs..education? That one really ticks me off. It does cost money, they have none, it's a merry go round for them, only not so merry. :/
