in this random rambling thread we post random pictures

They don't teach driver's ed in the schools anymore, so there's less peer pressure. My 16 and a half yr old is taking his permit test tomorrow morning, mostly against his will, but we live out of town, no public transportation, so I'm taking the place of peer pressure.

Maybe Reb could add Hokey Pokey music to the bee dance video!

Sorry to break up the conversation of the mornin' on bees, but that looks like our old Talon. Dad had one when I was a Kid! I think ours had the hidden headlights though.
Thats what it is.

AMC made cheap luxury cars. They also owned the Jeep brand. In 1980 they came up with a new brand name called Eagle. Eagles were AMCs small uni-body cars (AMC Concord) that were lifted an had a 4X4 drive train put under them. The station wagon version was the biggest hit. With this new information AMC built a new uni-body station wagon for the more well known Jeep brand. Its lines were built to look like Jeeps big wagoneer but everything else was built to copy the Eagle station wagon. It was called a Jeep Cherokee. Dodge bought out AMC 2 years later. Dodge shut down the AMC brand which also made the bodys for Eagle so Eagle was shut down to. The Jeep Cherokee was filling that market for them anyway. Dodge then had to find a use for the Eagle brand. What they came up with a the first 4 wheel drive sports car called the Eagle Talon. They also rebranded Reliants an sold them in the US as Eagles. Most people that walked in to a Jeep dealer wanted something off road capable though an the little cars were out of place an did not sell well. Lots of jeep dealers still have signs up that say AMC, Jeep an Eagle.

Yes, that would be good.

Us too with the peer pressure. None of his friends drive.
I so wanted to be able to say,"Run to the store for me and get..."
Did not happen.
We pay the extra money to have him on our insurance and I got nothing out of it.
He was 18 when he got his permit, and we still have to force him to drive.
He said it would be okay, but there are too many people out there who should not be driving, and it scares him.
He says the kids at school can not even manage the hall ways without colliding because of their phones, and people do that and drive.

I dunno, you take a banged up car to get a drivers license and they assume you'

In Japan. Need to be high for boats to go under. Good grief!

I don't think I would ever be able to drive across that bridge

actually I know I would not drive across that bridge even if it was here in the USA

1. I drive a 4-spped and I don't like hills only this is a mountain

2. TOO HIGH & TOO STEEP

3. scares me just looking at the pic ... not even sure I would want to ride in a car that cross over it
