Thanks drumstick We really do have some fabulous places here in Yorkshire. Would love to get round some more of them. The sheep are so hardy I don't know how they do it. Our last really heavy snowfall the farmers had to dig them out of the snow but many still lived they were just weighed down by it.

Or a vision of James Herriot with his hand up a cows bottom getting a calf out

We have a museum all about him and the TV series but I've not been since I was very small. Would appreciate it more I think now I'm older. Must put it in my to go list.

Oh YES, "All Creatures Great and Small," I loved that show , even my father and brother watched - neither of which are animal lovers. The actors were so good too.
