I'd have to agree. If u look at the damage done and then look at the canner. No mess no damage to canner

So that leaves the question... Did someone stage a photo just to have the photo or did someone fake a explosion to get to remodel their kitchen?

I think the remodel was a done deal, and someone decided to have a little fun before they wheeled in the handcart.

I'm vaguely curious about how they did what they did to the top of that stove - that couldn't have been easy . . . .

But to me, the lack of mess is a dead giveaway. When a spaghetti squash blew up and blew the door open on my microwave, there was yellow "silly string" everywhere!

Yeah, I have one of those glass topped stoves - I'm thinking more likely a sledgehammer (better angle and weight distribution). When I blow the picture up, I see there is something splattered on the edge of the sink in the foreground. However it was done, that picture makes quite an impression!

Just a plain ol cuka mess. As I would say to grandkids, cuka. Fake or real. Now I am going to look up exploding pots. See what I get.

Why was this being recorded in the first place? Just some random video taping? Of them working? I've never owned a pressure cooker, don't think I ever will.

That was someone using their phone to record security camera play back. You can also tell from the video that it is not venting an the pop off valve did not go off so it was probably modified by someone to try to make it hold more pressure. Though it could be that it is an old cooker without a pop off valve an the user never cleaned it. The lid was also ether not on good or unscrewed its self spinning an hitting stuff. Ether way the cooker held an just blew out the seal.
