funny as that little clip is, as a parent I cringe seeing that kid so close to the edge of the pool, with no parent close enough to keep him from going in.

No, but there are plenty that are close enough to pull him out before he comes to real harm. To me, it looks like the edge of some sort of water feature or fountain, so it may not be all that deep.

to me, it looks like one of those swimming pools with the disappearing edges, just the water level is low. notice the blue trench around the perimeter.

but that isn't the big deal.

still bothers me.

but to be fair, kid should NOT have been trying to do that. I'm guessing it wasn't the first time either, since someone was filming this one.

Whether the cat can swim or not isn't the point to me. That's no way to treat an animal. How are kids supposed to learn how to be respectful of living animals if the adults laugh and film the animal being tossed like a beach ball.

It's not that I don't care about the child's safety, the so-called adults were right there if he needed them. The kid would have been fine, I'm not sure anyone cared enough to be concerned about the cat's well being.

That makes it clear the adults were encouraging the kid to commit animal abuse. Disgusting.

I'm on the cats side, it's the only innocent one in the whole scene.
