in this random rambling thread we post random pictures

Had a nice talk with our Heifers we kept for breeding this year yesterday morning over breakfast and a nice tall Mt. Dew (for me, not them). I am a pro landscape photographer that specializes in agriculture photography, and new to the community. Hope ya'll don't mind if I post some of my stuff here.....it will get more chicken related when the new chicks arrive!

Welcome to BYC, and this thread!

Absolutely, feel free to post anything you want (as long as it's family-friendly, of course!) It's always a delight to see the world through our members' lenses, though there's lots of googling, clicking and re-posting here, too.

Love that sky. We are surrounded by trees, so our sky effects are always seen through a tracery of branches (which can be a neat effect, too). I've often thought I'd love to have pictures, but the color winds up so washed out with my phone's camera.

Funny story - we had a really spectacular sunrise a few weeks ago; lots of drama with the sun peeking through clouds. I remember seeing it through the trees, and thinking it was probably great on the beaches to the east of us. A few days later, I was in the grocery store, and got chatting with the cashier as she rang up my order. I don't know what the subject of the conversation was, but somehow clouds or colorful sunsets or something came up. The guy behind me pulled out his phone, and showed me a picture he had taken - of that sunrise! His house is on the sound, so he not only had that dramatic sky, he had it reflected on the water - wow!
