X2 That's a huge house.Your house is very nice Pasha, looks like you have a lot of room.
That's terrible!Great photos Cynthia. You are right, that water is soooo clear but, I still wouldn't drink it knowing that fish, and animals and stuff poo in it all the time - some of them probably kick off in the water too.
When we moved here just had well water and the NOT good builder skimped on everything. Water was so full of iron, it was orangey. If it sat in a class you'd see all the crud sink to the bottom. WE all took showers because didn't think we'd get clean sitting in a tub of rusty water. Ick.
We had the kennel then and all the dogs drank the water but, one - Squeejet would smell it first and back away. We ended up stocking up on water from a relative in Chicago, using a hose & washed out milk bottles. I've since read you really need a hose meant for drinkable water. Oh well. Anyway Squeejet approved of Chicago water.
A few years later we did get Chicago water which was great because our well water was so awful with minerals and junk that it kept ruining the pump. Someone told us much later that our well was dug deep enough. Other neighbors kept their well because they could water their grass for free. City slickers don't know that & the builder had a lot more surprises for us too. Outlet covers with no wiring behind them. Bathtub drain all clogged up with paint and other junk spilled down there. Window sills have would barely attached and couldn't support the weight of a paper clip.
He he...you know, I never really thought it was that bad. I didn't know any different, even now the thought doesn't gross me out.
I'm trying to convince myself that I didn't read that about the well.![]()
