This is not good, i think the bears must sleep now. If the bear don`t sleep - it can be hungry and very angry. Avoid to meet this bear.

It is pretty warm and the snow is melting. We have seen bears here, they are afraid of people . And i have bear spray and guns if they become aggressive. There are many deer, turkey and rabbits in the wild here.

Here are not wild bears (maybe because cities and towns are too close), but once, when I came home from work (from the train) at night (i had too much work), I decided to cut the road through the forest near another village, but I was very eaten by mosquitoes and I ran (near of there was a dank ravine with tall grass and hordes of angry and very hungry mosquitoes). It was about one o'clock in the night. I ran through the woods, and almost collided with his nose to the nose with an elk!

It was so calm, chewing something and looking at me. We stood a little, staring at each other, then he turned and slowly went into the bushes. As it turned out later, the elk was not wild or dangerous, but completely hand-picked, picked young (where was he`s mother i don`t know) by someone from the nearest village, fed, raised and released near by in the forest, but it still goes there without going far from that village. Now there began to repair the road, and he left the noise of the bulldozers, otherwise he walked there all the time.

Still there are a lot of hares and somehow I saw a fox there, but there are no bears (the forest is small, more like a park than a forest). If there were any bears, I would not go there at night, but would have gone for 500 rubles by taxi on the road. I just felt sorry for 500 rubles and I went on foot.

Thanks, it hides a lot of dirt. I love it except when i fell hard on both knees and messed them up.

I used to play Atari with hubby before the kids came along. Then Nintendo with the kids. Now i play BYC instead.

Seen a few in my wanderings this winter , a bit strange sight but i have seen them before ...wolves worry me more
