I have now about 50 geese, 70 ducks, 70 chikens (old an young), 5 goats ))
Just before i start any animal i need to think it all over again. To build a well-insulated cattle-shed, put pipes with water there, sometimes electricity, think over where these animals will graze, pre-make a large supply of feed.... Therefore, the purchase of any animal in me occurs sometimes not earlier than five years after planning.
Things are going well, but slowly ))
While I am engaged in the construction of a pigsty, and also a pen in a stable, where I want to settle sheep (I want to buy pigs and sheep). And one more small, almost finished business is to finish the paddock, where there will be turkeys (the room for turkey are done). It's almost over, but I'm always too busy. While I'm not in a hurry with this, because the turkeys will only buy next year. Just one side of the turkey paddock is bordered by a one wall of a pigsty and the paddock will be finished when the pigsty will be completed ))) (in the past time i had some turkeys, but now don`t have any turkeys).
And I'm interested in bees, studied this subject a bit and will play with bees when I have time. I do not plan anything serious, I'll just put two or three beehives somewhere away from cattle-breeding facilities and out of the house. I need bees, not so much for honey, as for a good pollination of my tomatoes, cucumbers and garden.
Then I want to build another greenhouse, and attach to it another small insulated house for ducks (I want to divide the ducks, the Indian runners separately, and the Bashkir ducks separately, because they are very different, bashkir ducks are big and fat, indian runners are small). Each breed will have its own house, a paddock, and a greenhouse for winter walks (in the summer there will be vegetables in the greenhouse. I want a separate greenhouse for watermelons).
I also want a new cellar, because the old cellar has become cramped. And I will build a large smokehouse for meat.
This is my plan for the next 30 years
It would be nice to shove a cow and a horse into my smart plan.
the only thing that bothers me is that if I will have horses, it will mean horse manure. And if I have horse manure, it will mean that I most likely want to grow champignons. And then the plan will not be 30, but 40 years ahead
