You mean ENCOUNTER
Along the Mississippi river where I would often be, (a backwater area between Savanna Il, and Sabula Iowa) There are a number of eagle nests not far from the roadside. I seen these huge nests up in the trees. I went on Google Street view, just now, but it did not cover that section of the road. What was covered by street view,,, had trees with heavy leaf foliage blocking view beyond.

Those don't even look real, they're so pretty!

I pulled my old bulbs last fall and planted new ones. I was worried they weren't going to do well because they took a while to come up. But the made it. I'm facing north. Thank you.

The first two are of a Western Meadowlark. The other two are Eastern Meadowlark.

No I did not,, At this forest preserve near where we go sledding during winter,,,,, the ranger cuts the trees but leaves the stump about 4 feet high.
Not sure if its one,, or multiple artist carvers that do these carvings.

Last time I was there they were gone.. Pretty sure thieves steal these to place on their patios at home.
I will scan thru my collection of pix to see If I have any other ones from other years.
