in this random rambling thread we post random pictures

Looks like a Halloween cat for sure.
I found her in the chicken yard, 3 years ago in October. She is the best rodent killer.

Her little sister is too relaxed (lazy) to hunt.

Looks great!
Initially, I wanted to put a DVR for 8 or 16 cameras, but in the nearest city it was sold only for 4, so I had to buy it. And the previous one is not quite serviceable - there are also 4 cameras. but one of them, fixed on a metal fence, was once struck by lightning. Since then, only 3 cameras can be connected there (one of the 4 ports failed).
To be honest, I have not yet decided what to do with this, on the one hand, I have working cameras, and this DVR can only be connected to 3. I'm thinking of putting it somewhere and taking the cameras to the barn and to the greenhouse where they are wintering now geese. Only I have not yet decided where I will put it - it is warm in the barn in winter, but humid, and in the house - the distance from the house to the greenhouse is relatively large, and I will have to pull a lot of cable.
The DVR has a network card, I can enter it into a computer network and look at the cameras without leaving the computer. Sometimes it's convenient.

So cute and funny!
It was. Let me tell ya just how funny, how it played out.

After handfeeding babies, just before their nap time, I thought, let me get a quick photo. It is always interesting to see different sizes babies can be, so I had both on my 1 hand, for a few moments, just for perspective.

Little Peep gazes up at the big Robin...I wanted to capture this Little Sister Big Sister moment & thought the gaze was quite lovingly...just then Little Peep pecks Robin & pecks her good!
Robin actually leaned back...one hardy peck from a tiny beak. I will never forget it! I wish I'd kept snapping pics!
The gentle giant Robin leaned away from Peep & looked down at her, very sorrowful.
Like, "Geez what did I do?" 😆 🤣 😂

Little Peep was 1 feisty tiny gem of a bird! Shortly after hatching, she fell from a pine tree nest on a windy day, that tree was huge, 30 feet high. She was a determined survivor!

I helped rescue many birds but some definitely had personality plus & I will never forget them. ❤️
