in this random rambling thread we post random pictures

The barn cat, Kitty. His sneak attack was thwarted by the fact that I could hear the idiot purring from a mile away.

I HAVE AN ANT ALSO!!!!
Ugh, gonna tear up...
May be a little long. I have to go all the way around Africa and back here to tell a story.
My husband tells me I have too many details, but I love to believe someone can visualize what Im trying to tell..
My little momma (85) was having a great day, which were seldom at that time (dementia).
She wanted to walk next to the Coosa River, 3 miles from my home, she lived with us.
Her and my daddy had their first date back when she was 16 years old at the Coosa River, within 2 miles from where I took her that day. Impossible to get to the exact spot of their date anymore, or I would have had her right there.
We took my silly dog, Ginger, because she loved my momma so much and my momma lover her too.
My mother hated animals before she got sick. I never had a pet as a child. Only farm animals, and some of those were eventually food.
We were walking beside the water, it has a "beach" of smooth pebbles of all sizes, ad colors, mixed with sand and some regular rocks.
She was having such a great day, she could walk without me holding her hand or having to watch her too closely.
She never learned to swim and was still terrified of the water... She wouldnt get too close, even if she didnt know who she was... LoL. ...or me...
She said "Hey girl! (me). Come get this ANT before it bites Ginger". Yes. She could absolutely remember my dogs name. Had NO IDEA who I was... or who she was either...
I didnt get there within 1 second and she bent over and picked it up herself. She usually had a hard time just being able to keep her balance, so that was a big deal to me...
She started squealing and giggling like a 4 year old... Like the ant was real, Im sure in her mind it was alive and wiggling... i guess... LoL.
Anyway, she CHASED me with it and I played along and acted like I was running away from her hollering and laughing... Ginger got in on the fun too... running and barking.
I let her catch me and put the ant on me...
I acted ike I was gonna faint and she had the best LAUGH.
***I am now fully crying, from happiness***
That was the very FIRST time in 5 years I got to hear her laugh and see her "connect", only for a moment.
When the moment was over, it was over. She left me on Christmas night, last year 2021.
Your ants brought back a beautiful memory for me. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!

I have it hanging on a chain, fromView attachment 3310883 the over head LED light above my desk, in my art studio.
Oh wow! What a beautiful memory to share! May God bless your mama.
