I think this is the result of excessive alcohol consumption. There are two types of people - some, drunk, start hugging everyone and kissing, shouting that they love the whole world and everything around is beautiful, others, on the contrary, become extremely aggressive and psychotic. These characters are most likely very drunk. They swear and curse the fish, the fishing and are indignant that the fish does not want to be caught.
