Chuckkar. That bird is the size of a bantam hen. Way bigger than an American Robin.

These winter visitors used to take just one bite out of my grandfathers winter strawberries and then move on down the row repeating their fine dining. Strawberries put food on his table and pecked berries were worthless. Some of them didn't make it back north to breed. My northern cousins were sad but my grandfather and mother got to eat too.

I can remember my mom making macaroni with a can of tomatoes tossed in. Pretty cheap and I liked it pretty well.

We still mix macaroni with tomatoes and corn. Sometimes a little ground beef. Key word is little ground beef.
